Hydrofluoric Acid

Nitric acid is an acid and is also a  ternary compound.   Nitric acid, a long with many other acids have a use at home. Nitric acid is useful to clean plastic, rubber, and many other materials.  Nitric acid is known to clean jewelry well too. Nitric acid also can trace metals in a solution. When cleaning any type of silver or gold object, nitric acid can be very helpful.
