Nitrous Acid

Nitrous Acid-HNO

Nitrous acid is a weak and monobasic acid acid known only in the solution and in the form of nitrate salts. It is used to make diazides from amines. The diazide can be liberated to give a carbene or carbenoid. Nitrous acids only exist in aqueous solutions which is why it is very unstable. It is found in many salt solutions and is used in everyday life.
