Sulfuric Acid is an acid containing two hydrogen atoms and the polyatomic ion "sulfate." It is a ternary compound. Sulfuric Acid a very dangerous chemical that must be used with much caution. Although it is very dangerous, it has everyday uses. Sulfuric Acid is put into the lead-acid batteries within car batteries. Without sulfuric acid, car batteries would not be made or function the same.
